Equine Podiatry, the study of the equine foot, is an alternative to the traditional farrier practice. While
the traditional farrier practice focuses on shoes and corrective shoeing for today's common foot pathologies, Applied
Equine Podiatry's goal is to return the Structure and Function to the equine foot that nature had intended...so
the horse can achieve its maximum Performance level. Ultimately, our hope as Equine Podiatrists is to be
PROACTIVE in the health of the foot instead of REACTIVE. Whether your horse is barefoot or wears shoes, our goal is still
a healthy foot.
